fail to load

I'm playing on PC and when I try to load the settings file to get into the game it gives me the error message, "failed to load." I don't want to delete and create a new settings file just in case it deletes all my progress on Pro Clubs. Has anyone else had this issue and possibly has a solution? I tried reinstalling and repairing but it didn't solve the issue.
