FC24 doing incorrect controller inputs

As you can see in this example vid, i try navigate the settings with my left joystick (I am using a wired ps4 controller plugged into my pc) and when I move it left or right, it does two moves (skipping one). Aswell, when I try to press X to open one of the menus, as seen in the video, it chooses the option to the left of when I am currently selected. Another note, when I enter the game, regardless of my efforts, it forces me to play with keyboard inputs (even with unplugging it, changing the controller settings as seen in vids...).

Finally, for those wondering if this is a broken controller, all the inputs work completely fine on any other game, and on online controller input testers. If anyone can find a fix to this really annoying bug please let me know as I want to be able to play the game again without having to navigate using kb&m
