I was having this issue since Fifa 23 and i realized it was my turtle beach wireless headset that was reading as player 1 so it wasn’t letting me select kits. I had to buy a whole new headset but for a while i was fixing the issue by disconnecting the USB before searching for a match and then connecting it back once the match started. Hope this helps 🙏🏼
This is still happening and with the last update the bugs and glitches are worse than ever. This is by far the worst fifa ever, it will definitely be my last, I have been losing patience for a long time and I've been playing fifa for 20 years so that says something.
