I am having the same issues and have experienced these same issues since FIFA 19-20. It has nothing to do with your settings, it has to do with the EA servers and the type connection that they use. If they used Peer-to-peer you would not be experiencing any delay and it would feel as smooth as Fortnite. But because the signal goes from your PS5 -> EA servers -> your opponent and so on and so forth, you are experiencing the one sided slow play, stuck in the mud feel, horrendous passing and shooting. Until EA sports changes something unfortunately you will continue to experience this.

I really love the game and enjoy it when the gameplay smooth!! But recently i just became like no god I don’t wanna play this game anymore because the delay and the heaviness and horrible things that happens.
When will EA listen to us ???? We need a better servers
I don’t want my money go like for nothing because I spent alot of money on the game
I just quit the game for now to see what will happens in the future
BUT WE NEED A SOLUTION
