I found a fix!

It auto goes off whatever current role you have selected in PRO CLUBS.

I was player GK clubs and kept getting keeper career.

I changed my Pro  Clubs preset to an ST I have, new player career Is locked ST!

FIX - Set the role you want in Player Career as active role in Pro Clubs
