@Shayazatit seems to be player by player basis. No reasoning has been found. Sometimes it's because of created players in the career, sometimes not. I've been playing on PS4 and have had the issue non stop for months.

I am using mods so I maybe thought that was the issue.. but even without mods it was crashing. I guess I’m just another victim of this atrocity ☹️
