My Player career mode difficulty

After the last update, even on the ultimate difficulty setting, opponent team players don't chase or try to tackle at all. It is like playing on beginner difficulty. I easily score 15 goals or sth on ultimate settings in 20-25 mins (in-game mins). Also there are massive gaps between defenders. First people were complaining about how hard it was on legendary difficulty and now there is no difficulty setting at all. Please find the balance.

I have a similar issue (and have had this problem with previous versions of the game, eg FIFA 21) ..

When playing career mode and locked to player, I find if I play on legendary the rest of my team fails at the basics so often we get beaten easily. But if I drop back 1 level, then I start beating teams by this score instead.

At the moment I have a career going as a RWB playing for Wigan. Last night I played a league match on Legendary difficulty against Bolton and lost 6:1. The next match was a cup match, so I dropped the difficulty to World Class and this time Wigan beat Bolton 7:2. Almost the exact opposite. Same teams, I was still just playing my player. Only change was the difficulty. As a result my player rating for the match went from 6.3 in the first match to 7.8 in the second, and I maybe made 1 extra assist from a cross than the first match.

Another example is on Legendary, the opposition never gets called for offside - on World Class the first offside against Bolton was in the first 30 seconds of gameplay.

The difference between the 2 levels is just way to big. There should be a middle ground where the  game is tough, but roughly even.

I get that there needs to be a difference for different team levels and the game probably accounts for formations and tactics etc as well. But the example I have given shows this happens when it is exactly the same team!

Same problem for me. The difficult levels doesn't work for career mode on EA sports FC 24 PC. Unfortunately, I have to quite my favorite game.

Exactly the same problem as the author of this post. The game has become so boring that I don't want to play!!! Can this be fixed?

Yes. You have to go to game settings in career mode and open user sliders. When you open user sliders you will see that somehow CPU sliders are reduced for unknown reasons. Just put them on default and you are good to go. That did it for me.
