No invite option on eafc24

So basically I am friends on eafc with my best friend however I can't invite him in any gamemode nor can he invite me , please someone help 
technical issues

Please ensure that both you and your friend have the same version of the game installed. If you're playing on a console, make sure that you have installed the correct version of the game as this could cause issues.

We both have the correct version, is there anything that we can do?

    I can’t see any of my friends on fc24 whenever I press Zr on my Nintendo switch I see “Sorry.Something prevented us from fulfilling your request.”

    (the server encountered an unexpected condition.”
