Personal settings profile deleted

I was in the middle of a game in the silver cup and when I went to pause the game my game crashed. When I reopened my game, my personal settings profile was deleted. If I try to open the companion app it tells me I'm currently using another device, even though my game is not open. I don't want to lose my UT progress so I'm not sure what I need to do here. If I make a new personal settings profile will I lose my progress or will everything be fine?
