Player career mode - prospect squad role after multiple seasons

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a player career mode (I am playing at professional player mode) play for a few games Check if squad role has changed after it.
What happens when the bug occurs? I have played 2 seasons player career mode on EAFC 24 with same club and I see a news article saying debut match during 3rd season. Along with it, the squad role for this player has not changed from prospect despite winning several awards through the course of things.  Is there something that I'm missing?
What should be happening instead? player squad role should change according to performance and manager rating
