PS5 LAN Cable Disconnected

Experiencing frequent split second disconnections on PS5. Get the error message LAN cable disconnected and being booted out of matches causing me to get disconnet losses.

I've tried the following steps but no luck, it keeps happening:

  1. Update Console System Software in Safe Boot Mode
  2. Rebuild PS5 Database & Clear System Software Cache

I often get random error messages in Ultimate Team causing the mode to boot me out to main menu or just back to Ultimate Team menu while trying to do SBCs, these don't show the LAN Cable Disconnected message though. Another example is "The Store is not available at this time. Please try again later".

Getting very frustrating as I often can't complete a match without getting disconnected even when it's squad battles that aren't against another player, Ultimate Team has become too unstable to play.  

Have also had the Lan cable message in F1 23 too, dumping me out of ranked races.

  • I changed my cable and it seems to have helped. Reading around other forums it's possible the ethernet port has overheated and is starting to come loose but hopefully it was just the cable
