Re: "Already have an evolution version of this player" error
Earlier this game cycle, there was a specific Evolution card type (Evolutions III) that wasn't allowing player to submit cards into EVOs to chain upgrades. Eventually the EA team discovered this issue and allowed players to submit these cards on the Companion or Web app, however it was never fixed on console. This issue isn't much of a concern now but it leads into my main point. Another card type that has seemingly giving me issues in recent months is Evolutions II. At the start of the game cycle, I suppose I bought the common gold version of Raul Jimenez from Fulham and submitted it into an EVO later in the year. Since this he has been eligible for several new EVOs, of which many have now expired. With the start of the FUT Birthday promo, many new EVOs were released that Jimenez fits the requirements for, however once again when I've tried to submit the card into the EVOs, I get an error message basically saying that another evolved version of the player is already in my club, which isn't true. I've seen several FC 24 players experience similar scenarios with the "ghost duplicate" glitch, but I will focus on my own experience. As a potential solution, I discarded and recovered the EVO card from my Quick Sell collection on the companion app in hopes that this would reset the card or revert it back to it's gold form like I've heard some people have been able to do, but when I tried to access my unassigned cards on my Xbox One, it crashed my game and I couldn't send the card back to my club. However, I could still access the unassigned card on the Companion app in order to quick sell it again. Since this, I can no longer recover the card as it gives me another generic error message. So, I tried buying the common gold version of Raul Jimenez again from the transfer market to start fresh, but also can't submit that card into an Evolution either. So now rather than the card type being glitched, I'm starting to think the player is glitched. I have been able to evolved 2 versions of players when said player changes their nationality, but in this case nothing has changed, so I can't get around this issue. I'm not sure if anyone has a definitive answer for this issue, but I have spoken to 2 EA Help advisors and was told to post this to the Forum in hopes it can be upvoted in order for the Dev team to make this issue a priority. I have also left images of the messages I've received in game today while trying to resolve the issue again. I don't have the other images as I can't recover my EVO card again, but when I tried to access my unassigned cards, even by completing an 81+ player pick, it just said that I couldn't access my unassigned section.
