my controller is working totally fine all the way until i get into a online game. then my controller wont move. it works fine in solo games and vs CPU but when i get into a online game all but pause button is not working

Same issue. Controller works fine in squad battles, but won't work in division rivals
Yep same it's so annoying trying to play clubs and it doesn't work just tried rivals and it won't work too but grinding squad battles and its fine anyone got a fix for this yet?

Maybe if we make this ridiculous controller suddenly deciding not to work issue public on Social Media then EA may do something as I reported this issue days ago before the game was even released and I have had absolutely no response from EA.
The sudden your controller is no longer working issue occurs with whatever USB Wired Controller I have used and as the game is part of my EA Play Pro Subscription I cannot fix this issue with the suggested Steam fixes.
Sometimes even when my Controller is working it does not work in the Settings Menu.
This error does not occur on my Xbox EA Play Trial version of the game.
Maybe the solution would be to give EA Play Pro Subscribers access to the full game on Console like they have on PC if they have an Xbox Ultimate Game Pass which includes EA Play.
I reported this issue on 24 sep and didn't get a reply from ea.
I bought a new controller but it still doesn't work in online modes.
Ea doesn't care about pc players. I was going through comment section of a video on YouTube where players were complaining about this exact issue in fifa 23 and it was not fixed even by September 2024.
So as of now I have no hopes this is gonna get fixed in any future updates.
Closing my Steam App running at the same time as my EA App seems to have fixed my Controller issue as it is now working in the game menus as it should.
This will fix the issue for EA Play Pro PC players.
CLEARLY THERE IS A CONFLICT WITH THE STEAM APP AND THE EA APP BEING OPEN AT THE SAME TIME AS TURNING STEAM OFF HAS FIXED MY ISSUE.

For me the problems is still present after closing steam. I rarely use steam and it is not in my autostart, so the problem is i guess not only the steam app. Because some PS5 players have reported the same issue... @JimmehOnPCyou using on bluetooth? because i trying to play on bluetooth too and its disonnecting every time

Please, how did you fix it ? - GhostYotei2 years agoSeasoned Novice@OMARRAMO2030 I dont know, I've tried deleting personal settings when you launch the game, it works for a minute or two, and then just made the new one, I've tried everything, people are saying lock the fps to 30, but I dont want to play on 30 fps.
I have that exact same problem. Working perfectly untill 2 days ago, now its like there are 2 inputs. Players dont turn properly or dribble, they dont go to the opponent with the ball, they only jockey around them.
I solved this problem:
- Open the game while the controller is connected.
- Cotrol panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and printers -> Found your controller and right click -> "Remove device"
Then return to the game.
