Re: EA Sports FC 24 shutting down Xbox Series X

Same here, since playing ea fc 24 my xbox series x has shut down 6 times. Most recently during a game of co-op rivals, but has shut down playing clubs or even just sitting on the menu. Not an over heating issue as the xbox has clear space on all sides. The xbox will shut off completely without a warning. Please sort or offer solutions as this game will become unplayable for me when doing champs etc in the future as a fear of a disconnect during a game which could be crucial to earn certain rewards. My xbox has never shut off before when playing any other game

    No nothing from EA at all.

    Shameful that this is going on for over a week now and there’s not even been acknowledgement from EA about this known issue.

    Playing the Xbox one version when I paid to have the the series X version is just a slap in the face at this point, literally can’t even talk to a human at EA to let them know about the issue is most frustrating,

    Its just a shambles, I really think issue will not get fixed and the game is going to be unplayable for people all year,

  • @flo-smc no my ps5 is shutting down so I went and got a xbox .. its ea

    i have a refund coming .. i suggest the rest of you get your money back too
  • @Jdlh8125150 My xbox series X shuts down when I play EAFC 24 so if u buy an XBox , I think you will have the same issue, I hope EA will fix this issue soon 

  • @EA_Mako Has this been flagged by the devs at all? I only ask as i'm seeing nothing on the tracker and surely we cannot be going another year with this problem not addressed, its making the game unplayable due to menus when this occurs being before, in the middle and at the end of matches. All sorts of workarounds have been attempted as seen in both this thread and my own below but all signs point to poor game optimisation rather than every type of console out there.

    It would be nice to hear theres something being done about this.

    Latest update did nothing at all, still shutting down barely 10 minutes into a game.

    it’s wild that this bug isn’t their priority.

    Does the game stutter for you also on Series X?
    My first game was fine but after that every game is stuttering every one-two seconds and especially when passing and recieving the ball.

    Escalated to Phil Spencer directly.

    Guys this is 100% a Frostbite bug and not your console,  your Series X will inform you if there are heat issues, as a workaround download and play the last gen version while they patch things up.

    I swear this happened with Bf2042 (also Frostbite) at launch too with Series X, DICE (who support fb backend for all titles) aren't very familiar with the platform it seems.

    Same happened to me. Not a heat issue. I played all day yesterday and it was fine but then today within the second match it turns off. The screen flashes green then it turns off no warning or anything. Happens in the middle of a game not the menus. Does only seem to happen in UT game modes

    Tried to play two games of UT today. Both times the match got to half-time, the fan sure enough ramped to full speed and then my PS5 shutdown, not even a warning this time, nothing.

    Two matches attempted which are now two losses, all out of my control.

    I'll tag you again @EA_Mako as we got no response previously, something has to change.

  • The connection constantly drops during the game, this is not a problem caused by my internet, the problem is with Xbox. Anyone who can solve it please help us
  • @EA_Cade Could we have some update on this please? I see no sign of this problem even on the Trello tracker. Not to mention a lack of a reply here from you guys.
