@itsshlig Just apply a contract like normal player and see what happens.

Amazing company as always, applying a contract after the expiry is NOT possible, it just says "Convert to concept player". Instead of making the card ONLY expire after the date, they have made it if you do not apply any contract to the card it will expire after 7 matches and you CANNOT renew the contracts. Can't wait for next year for EA to actually have competition and see if they are still so neglecting of their community and game.
