it is this error. i have reinstalled game, changed game directory, reinstalled ea app, changed directory, repair game, repair ea app, run both as admin, ran anti cheat as admin, repaired anti cheat
the error occurs after you launch the game, anti loads up and finishes, then right before the game launches this pops up
This is my problem but not origin is not installed it’s ea app is not installed
same here!

It seems there might be residual files from Origin causing a conflict with the App. Please follow these steps:
1. Uninstall both Origin and the EA App.2. Clear Windows Temp Files:
- Close any open programs.
- Press Windows key + R, which will open the run dialog.
- Enter %temp% and press Enter.
- Remove all files and folders it allows you to.3. Restart your computer.
(Optional) Registry Clean-up:
Download and install the free version of CCleaner from their official website.
Launch CCleaner and select Registry cleaner.
Click on "Review selected issues."
When asked if you want to back up, select "No."
Then, click on "Fix all selected issues."After completing the steps, download and install the EA App. When launching it, right-click on the executable file and select "Run as administrator."
i try it but it didn't work
- Heman_Superman2 years agoSeasoned Ace@sasqas52 I'm sorry to hear that the previous solution didn't work. Here's another suggestion:
Without having to tamper with the registry or uninstall and reinstall Origin/EA, you can attempt the following solution:
1. First, create a folder named "Electronic Arts" in C:\Program Files.
2. Next, place the "EADesktopInstaller.exe" file inside this folder.
3. Right-click on it and select "Run as administrator."
It's probable that the issue lies with the installer not detecting the proper installation path for the application. This issue isn't related to whether Windows is licensed or if you're using an SSD or HDD.

- Heman_Superman2 years agoSeasoned Ace@crazypearce333 Thank you for providing this solution. I'm confident that @sasqas52, upon creating a new user, will be able to access the game seamlessly.
do you know any potential fixes for it on the main user account? because having to play on a second account without all of your installed apps and settings and everything is kind of lame
- Heman_Superman2 years agoSeasoned Ace@crazypearce333 It appears there's a problem with your profile, likely stemming from the deletion of your registry, start your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot."
Click on the below link and follow the procedure to perform a clean boot. Check if it helps.

If I find any solution, I'll certainly share it with you. Rest assured, we'll work together to get this sorted soon.
That issue has something to do with anti-cheat modifications. Yesterday everything worked fine. By fine I mean I could start the game using "offline mode" approach mentioned on forums (this is another issue yet to be fixed). Today I get this error out of nothing.
- @Heman_Superman i tried the clean boot with only EAbackground and the anticheat service and the error still occurs unfortunately
- @Heman_Superman Same problem , this happend to day after play EAFC24
- @crazypearce333 exact same thing with me, couldnt play online now cant even start the game
same here EA FC 24 just isn't working after trying all these solutions
tried all these fixes still getting the error even though I clearly have it installed. Why arent Ea adressing this

Hi everyone,
This thread is only for the "EA app is not installed and is required to play your game" error when launching EAS FC 24 for PC!
Thanks for reaching out about this!
If you're still running into this same error, could you please share the following information with us here in the thread:- Your EA app Error Report ID,
- Which version of the EA app you're running,
- Which version of the game you have bought,
- If you have pre-ordered the game via the EA app/Epic/Steam/3rd party code, or via EA Play Pro.
To check which version of the EA app you're running: open the EA app > Click on the hamburger menu in the top-left corner > Click on 'About' and please mention the App version. It should look something like "App version: 13.27.0".
For more info on how you can run the Error Reporter check out this article on the EA Help website:
Using the EA Error Reporter in the EA app
