It appears that EA has done something server side that has resolved this issue. It also appears to have fixed the issue on previous Fifas.
Thankyou for finally resolving this EA.

Every time I load Volta I get an error message “ there was an error accessing server data. Please try again”

any ideas how to fix ?

Hello, are you able to view the attached thread below which is the same issue that your having and "Me Too" the issue. We’ve had response from EA Community Managers which are gathering info. Hopefully, the more of us that do it the more likely they are to fix it.
