It appears that EA has done something server side that has resolved this issue. It also appears to have fixed the issue on previous Fifas.

Exactly the same issue, had this not long into FIFA 23 and still not fixed

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load into Volta, it happens every time, also happened shortly after release of FIFA 23, still not fixed
What happens when the bug occurs? "There was an error accessing server data, please try again" then I get kicked back to the main menu
What should be happening instead? Should be loading into Volta, paid for the game to play this mode so fix it please. For me and everyone else with this problem
