Unable to accept Contract Offer in Player Career Mode

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Complete a Player Career season and not complete 1 'Optional Objective'
What happens when the bug occurs? When the bug occurs, players only have the option to change club.
What should be happening instead? Players should be given the option to either negotiate or accept contract offer, depending on how they do with their objectives

Troubleshooting: Tried restarting the game and console and going back to previous save but nothing has changed.
I'm currently on a journey taking my local club from League Two and towards the Premier League. At the end of the season, when it came to renewing my player's contract, even though I didn't complete 1 Optional Objective I was given a contract that was higher than I requested. I wasn't given the option to either accept it or re-negotiate the contract, the only option I was given was to change clubs.
I had researched in the community and online to see if this was a common issue, and it turns out it has been reported 72 times on EA Servers. It looks like that this is a problem everyone will face if they fall short on 1 objective. The only way you can get round it is restarting your entire Player Career, and I doubt many people will want to do that.
Attached are screen shots showing the issues I and others have had. No matter how well you do in a season for your club, if you fall short on 1 objective, you don't get the option to accept the contract given to you or renegotiate.
