I can’t pause the game at all when I play online. Only way I can make changes is during halftime.

Mine is the same, can't even use quick subs
same here on PS5 can't pause or make quick subs and the game keeps crashing.
I’ve had this on career mode game froze couldn’t pause got to half time and I couldn’t continue the game. Had to exit out and restart.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a seasons match and try to pause in-play. If you're unable to pause then the error will occur.
What happens when the bug occurs?
Unable to pause
Goal kicks will stay in pitch view and not keeper view
Corners will stay in pitch view so you can't see changes to angle and spin
At half time, no menu will pop up. It will stay on the cutscenes that play in background
Timer is not present
Game has to be restarted and I'm given a loss and opp is given win
It has happened so often I believe it is an exploit used by players now
What should be happening instead? I should be able to pause the game and play it normally but I cannot
A few times now I’ve been in a position where I’m unable to quick sub or pause the game online.
I feel changes in this game are essential to winning a match. But a glitch from time to time is preventing me from being able to access the pause menu or use quick subs. Is this just me? Or is other people experiencing this issue?
@TheBeanz1999 Its not just you. This has been an issue since day 1. It just happens randomly and you only find out when you're in the middle of a match. The game is littered with bugs
I can't even make subs using R2 and X.... That is ridiculous
