Just bought the standard physical ps5 version of eafc 24 having read on the ea website that both versions came with dual entitlement.
Trying to select the ps4 version from the homescreen following all the advice I can find, so that I can play clubs with my friends who don't yet have a ps5, but I can't find the option anywhere.
Help would be much appreciated!
I’ve bought the EA FC disc for my PS5 and was expecting to get both versions of the game. I’ve only got the PS5 version and therefore cannot play with my friends who currently have old-gen consoles. Is there anything I can do about this because the dual entitlement schemes means that I should have access to both versions

No, you can purchase EA SPORTS FC™ 24 at digital and physical stores to take advantage of the Dual Entitlement offer. Be aware though that physical stores also sell PS5-only packaged products which will be playable only on a PlayStation 5 console.

I myself stumbled across the same issue as well.
This isn't very clear to customers who are expecting to get what you advertise i.e Dual Entitlement
I am sure not many customers are aware there are PS5 only versions? Is there no way we can downgrade?
@EA_Barry my reason for downgrading is because the match immersion is better on old-gen consoles. When can we expect to see the proper match intro's back again for PS5 users?

I have the digital standard edition of eafc 24 , purchased of the ps store , when I go to download the ps4 version it says “installed” but is unclickable and I can’t play it.
The section pasted reads:

It does not say anything about not being able to download the PS4 version on my PS5 console, which is the problem here.
Could you please elaborate on how we can download the PS4 version of the game on a PS5 console having purchased the PS5-only packaged product, as the mentioned section in Dual Entitlement (https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/ea-sports-fc/fc-24/dual-entitlement) only states the PS5-only packaged product can only be played on a PlayStation 5 console and nothing about not being able to download the PS4 version of the game.

I have the same problem. I bought FC25 PS5 disc (standard edition), I installed it. When I choose 'Select version', The PS4 version has a lock icon, and it prompts me to buy it in the PS Store....
