Customer Support

I have been a been playing FIFA Ultimate team since 2009 and never had to contact EA  customer service up until yesterday.

It has been acknowledged that my son has a gaming an other mental health issues. This comes after over the summer we found that he had been making purchasers to the value of £1800.

We have done our best to keep him away from the Xbox and changed security stuff to avoid him spending more money.

Yesterday however despite our best intentions he started playing Ultimate team on my account. Because of the measures we have in place he could not buy anything. Instead he trashed my ultimate team. I assume he quick sold everything leaving me with a incomplete team and virtually no coins. This means that I have no way of playing any matches.

Last night embarrassingly contacted EA to explain the situation. The first response I got back from the person was we can't recover any players that have been used in SBC !! I had just informed them that I don't think they where used in SBC but I believed he had sold them via quick sell.  Eventually the operator understood and repeated the line "we can't do anything on this end" The operator went on to say that if I go on to the web app I would be able to retrieve all my items via the quick sell recovery. I did mention that I thought that the limit was only 5 items in a 30 day period but was told that I should be able to get them all back.

This morning I managed to log into the web app and went to Quick Sell Recovery and it was empty and if there had been anything there then I would have only been able to restore 5.

I contacted customer service to once again to get help.  Once again I repeatedly told the operator that I believed that my son had used the quick sell to get rid of the players.  Once again the operator referred me to the rules about SBC.  I said that I didn't think that was the case and the reply was along the lines of I refer you to the information about SBC and there is nothing we can do.  

I then asked to speak to the manager, I was told "sorry I understand but we can't do that"..  I then went on to ask if someone could call me back at which point the operator terminated the chat.

I cam imagine some of you might be saying it's his own fault he should of kept a better eye on his son. Those of you who might have experience with addiction will know an addict will find any means necessary. I have M.S and I don't want to use that as an excuse but sometimes I am not on the ball.

This year we brought per ordered EAFC 24 ultimate in advance £80.  As I mentioned above my son went on a spending spree and spent nearly £80.00 on FC Points in Fifa 23, I managed to intercept them before they where spent and carried them over to EAFC.

Right now I feel totally let down by EA and there customer service. Despite me asking for help I have been offered none.

If I have to speak to an operator and they start with the line how are you today my response will sick, worn out, depressed about the whole situation.  I will admit I am not that good player but playing FIFA in the past just keep my brain in shape

Hopefully someone can help.

  • I have not much help from EA as well. NOW again I have an issue but I am sure EA will not help me. I have a player stuck in won list and can not send him to club can not relist him , nothing. However in 2012 when me and my son got back home we saw that our account was hacked. Some one sold our players and than send the money to some other account. When we called support they told me thay we requested for an pasword change and they gave it to someone. I told them we never did that and that they are infault for giving a new password to some stranger. Without verification. We lost almost 90% of our players that we spent around 4000 Usd on packs. EA did not help but they did change there policy how to give passwords. But how hard was it to compensate us for a misstake on their end. Yet we contiuned to play EA every year since. Still loyal to EA and praying every day we do not have an hack or something as we know EA will not do anything. Not sure why they even have support.
