I know the probabilities. They say you have a chance of under 1% to pack a GOG icon? Fine. But they don’t say that you have a chance of 70% to pack the same icon. Especially when the promo includes other low-rated icons. This is where the story doesn’t add up: why am I being targeted with the same player over and over again? Is it predetermined? Is it a bug? Is this ratio a normal mechanic for absolutely everyone?

At the moment I started packing Trezeguet, he wasn’t the cheapest, but one of the cheapest icons you could get. I wouldn’t have had any problem with getting Trezeguet 5 times out of so few icons, if this ratio was the same for most players. However, I have yet to see on my Ultimate Team groups on Facebook, Reddit and X somebody packing Trezeguet at this ratio. And since on answers.ea.com no EA advisor ever bothers to give me an explanation, my suspicion that pack results are heavily predetermined remains.

I will likely win the lottery before packing something good over and over in Ultimate Team 🙂) I haven’t packed a tradable over 100k since the summer of 2020. This year, my highest tradable card was, you guessed it, Trezeguet. 

I normally moan about pack weight but I've packed 14 gotg including zico and Maldini and I've not bought a single pack with money.

Just doing upgrades like crazy, finished the fof upgrades, dumping all gold rare 87+ players into exchanges to do more upgrades over and over.

Also doing the totw sbc alot so I can do the 85+ × 5 3 times a night.

I do get you though normally I'd have gotten 10 trez by now...

I'm happy to hear you got a stroke of luck. I've done everything, too, those 160 SBCs, countless picks, 85-89 exchange SBCs, all for nothing. If I've gotten only gold rares, I wouldn't have started this post. I haven't packed anything special the previous week, despite continuous grinding, so I would've assumed again it's just my poor luck. But I really blew a fuse with this Trezeguet thing, because I feel that EA is trolling me with these pack results. And nobody from customer support is ever interested in giving you an honest and helpful answer. I sit now with 2 untradable Trezeguet dupes, being unable to open any more packs and also having no SBC that I feel I should throw them in. All because EA seemingly pulled a joke on me, and flooded me with the same special card, as if it's nothing left in this promo to open.

I returned to the game this May, after a two-year break. You are right. I feel now, more than ever, that unless you spend big bucks on buying packs, you won't pack anything good.
