Clubs due Update
Dear EA Sports and the Community,
I wanted to bring up an issue that I believe would help keep Pro Clubs engaging and enjoyable over time. Below are some ideas that could enhance progression and ensure players feel like they’re evolving as they play:
Introduce a Third PlayStyle+
Since Ultimate Team (UT) is set to implement a third PlayStyle+ in the upcoming promos, why not extend the same to Pro Clubs? This could be unlocked at Level 100, offering more variety and customization.
Increase the PlayStyle Cap to 10
Most UT Evolutions and promo cards already feature around 10 PlayStyles, so adding more to Pro Clubs players makes sense. Given that each role has a cap, this wouldn’t cause balance issues but would instead add more variety to gameplay.
More Skill Points for Greater Versatility
Adding extra skill points would allow for more dynamic playstyles. For example:
A CB with better passing or dribbling stats
A ST with better passing or physical
A Winger with stronger shooting or physicality
This would prevent players from feeling too restricted while still maintaining key role-specific attributes.
Bring Back In-Game Missions for Progression
If adding more skill points seems excessive, an alternative could be in-game challenges similar to older FIFA titles (back to FIFA 14). These could reward gradual stat boosts based on performance. Some examples:
- Defender Challenges
- Complete 25 standing tackles -> +3 Standing Tackle
- Complete 20 slide tackles -> +2 Slide Tackle
- Midfielder Challenges
- Provide 50 assists -> +2 Vision & +2 Short Pass
- Complete 150 long passes -> +3 Long Pass & +1 Curve
- Forward Challenges
- Score 75 goals -> +3 Finishing & +2 Shot Power
- Score 25 volleys -> +3 Volleys & +1 Finishing
This system would create a real sense of progression, allowing players to refine specific stats over time without making the game unbalanced. The challenge requirements could also be adjusted to ensure they’re fair but rewarding.
A More Balanced Progression System
Personally, my player is a CB with the following stats:
84 PAC
69 SHO
73 PAS
65 DRI
97 DEF
92 PHY
I feel like certain attributes, like pace and passing, could scale higher through consistent gameplay. For instance, reaching 90 Pace or 80+ Passing after extensive playtime would make my player feel more competitive without being overpowered and behind the current cards in UT.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, my goal is to see Pro Clubs players experience meaningful progression so that transitioning from UT doesn’t feel like a huge downgrade. Right now, switching from a FUT Birthday Bellingham to a Clubs player feels like going from a top-tier star to a significantly weaker version.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and if you have any new ideas, please share!
Have the rest of a great day!
