Game keeps crashing

Question

I’m in my third season in the January transfer window and the game keeps crashing whenever it ticks over to a specific date (Jan 5th).

I’ve tried saving onto a different file, simming further ahead, recalling all my scouts, joining a different club but nothing works.

I suspect it might be caused by the transfer cutscene for one of my players joining another club on loan. Annoyingly, there is nothing I can do to stop the deal from going ahead because I have already accepted the offer.

Is there a fix or is my save just ruined? Really don’t want to lose all my progress due to a stupid bug and have to start again.

I'm playing FC 25 on Xbox Series S if that helps.

Same thing is happening to my first career mode save, but in my case it has been crashing after I had saved the game during the first day of transfer window in my second season (July 2nd, 2025). I have already reset the console (PS5), but the bug persists.
