EA's stance on compensation.
I have recently had the pleasure of experiencing my first hacker during a Champs game. As we all know, Champs can be tough and every single game can count towards a better reward. As with any game I shrugged, reported the player in question and then decided to get in touch with EA support to see if I could have another game added so that I may earn the rewards that I rightfully do or don't deserve. Only to be met with the following response.
"EA, as a major publisher, does implement anti-cheat systems and investigates reports of unfair play, but the reality is that these measures are not always perfect, and compensation for affected players is rare. While EA’s support teams do work to address cheating and other issues, there is currently no widespread policy to refund or compensate players for lost rewards or negative experiences due to factors like cheating or technical problems"
So long story short, you get screwed over by a failure on EA's anti-cheat systems part, then that is on you. They won't even give you compensation that literally costs them nothing. Not a penny. This is a company that is worth nearly $40 Billion dollars. To put that in context, EA would be the 164th richest country on the planet. Yet they can't compensate it's own users for failing to provide them with the experience they promise.
I'd love to take this higher. But I'm just another pawn in their game, a tiny cog in their machine. I won't get any compensation. And neither will you. And nothing will change because their pockets keep getting lined regardless of if they lose a few players here or there. This company is a joke and remember that before you consider buying some points from them the next time.
