For me, there’s no enjoyment, and I no longer feel like I’m playing football at all. All I see are programming and physics issues, along with poor work from the game developers. Matches have just become a challenge for me, trying to adapt to all the problems in the game, and I always end up feeling frustrated and turning the game off.
Pretty much this. I feel as though I am just reviewing a junior devs work. Ignoring the server issues, the quality of the matches even offline are not great.
- The passing is absolutely **bleep** - I played FIFA 03 at an arcade a few weeks ago and even there the passing felt better.
- The animations are just plain weird - it seems that the higher the stats/more playstyles a player has, the weirder they move around.
- It is easier to trivella outside the box than tap it in - who thought this made sense?
- Defenders always catching up to attackers.
- Tackling from behind being the easier way to tackle?
- Bounce backs - I genuinely started manual passing to a defender in front of my sprinting attacker so that he could get the bounce back. You would be shocked at how well this worked in div 1.
- Tackling spam - need I say anything on this?
- Interceptions - this may be a personal thing. I don't enjoy how easy interceptions are. If I am providing a long ball to a winger, I don't expect a midfielder to jump 2M in the air to snatch it with his third arm. We are playing football, not shaolin soccer.
