Hi!
I just want to make you aware of a gaming development that is quite frightening when it comes to some online games.
Several game developers are exploiting children and young people to earn a lot of money on so-called "micro transactions". This means that players can buy hidden "packages" to improve their game. This is a kind of a "surprise package" and they do not know what they are spending a lot of money on.
Electronic Arts is one of the worst in this matter. Their games (EA fifa, now EA fc .., and more) have an age limit of 3+ years, and they offer this "service" to underage childrens.
Switzerland has banned this activity as they rightly consider it an invitation to gambling aimed at children. Shouldn't Norway and EU, with its restrictive gambling policy, follow Switzerland on this?
Especially when this business strategy is aimed at children and young people under 18 years of age.. Many parents are very distressed about this, as they have experienced children stealing their credit cards to buy these "packages"
Best regards
