Restricted from Online Features’ in FC25 Demo
I’m stuck in a weird limbo with the FC 25 Free Showcase Demo and could really use some help. Here’s my situation:
When I try to play the demo on Steam or EA App, I get this error:
“This EA account is restricted from accessing any online features. If you believe you’ve received this message in error, please contact customer support.”
What I’ve done so far:
- Double-checked my ban history – totally clean, no violations ever.
- Reinstalled the demo, cleared cache, tried different platforms… same error.
- Opened a support case ( #201897546) two days ago. But today, it’s marked as “Resolved” with no reply and no fix.
I’m really confused. The demo’s still blocked, and now my case is closed without explanation. Has anyone else experienced this?
So, with that error, it's not your game or the EA app; it is the account itself. It may not be an actual ban, but anytime you get an error that this account is restricted, it is either a sanction on the account or the account could be in a specific status.
You can contact our live support on our Help Site. To request a chat or open a case through email:
- Select the EA App
- Select one of the account issues like I cannot log in
- You may get a pop-up that says login and get faster help
- Select Continue without logging in
- This should give you the chat/email option
