Rush - Feedback - Suggestions

Hey guys,

First and foremost. Congrats on the Early Access Launch. Very much enjoying my time within FC 25 and have seen a hell of alot of features.

Wanted to share some feedback on Rush and provide some suggestions.

Much like I talked about during the Beta, Rush is a great Gamemode. IF the Community rallies together and provides a positive experience. What's been clear since the Beta, Players are interested, and then they seem to get bored/turned off and start to ruin the experience of others. The Gamemode itself is awesome. Just needs some adjustments.

Suggestions:

Once a Team scores 7 Goals. The match is finished - As evidence has shown with Call of Duty. The same can be said for Fifa/FC. Whereby players, once they are losing by a big margin, the % of leaving is very high. And thus, this provides a negative player experience.

Add a FF Feature (Forfeit) - A Player clicks the FF Option, if all others agree to the FF, the Game is forfeited and the Match will finish resulting in a 3-0 Loss. This is a much more positive way to leave a match when losing heavily. You leave as a Team and move onto the next match without that feeling of quitting/rage quitting - As explained during the Beta. I'd like the Devs to look at Rocket League as Rush is extremely similar. The Players react the exact same way.

Add a Kick/Vote to Kick Feature - Often Players stand around, don't know how to play, ruin the experience in any way possible. Make it possible to kick players that abuse other player's experiences. Wee're here to have a Game of Football, not leave feeling angry or disheartened by what others are doing.

Report a Player - This needs extensive reviewing/improving. Over the years, the ONLY reporting feature on PC is "report abusive name" - We don't want to report you for your name. We'd like to report you for ruining the player experience. Add Category Levels to the reporting process - Level 1: Player standing still/afk often. Level 2: Player providing toxic/abusive voice communication. etc etc.

Add a Single Player Option and keep all the seasonal perks - Not everyone likes to play online. Sometimes stats are deceiving and MAY SUGGEST players prefer online. When in fact, a big % of Players want to play offline. No toxicity. No abusive players. A calm, quiet experience playing the Game they paid for. Many Players would love a single player option to play with AI vs AI. This can also be added to Clubs.

The idea of these suggestions is to maintain a positive player experience. More often than not. Fifa/FC have a big vocal playerbase who seem to want to ruin the experience of others. I'm not sure why that is to be honest. Whether that competitive edge pushes players far beyond what Gaming is. That's a question for a forensic psychologist to analyse. But when you look at Games like Rocket League, Overwatch etc, and players all behave in the same ways, you do have to wonder what's being done to safeguard the players who don't behave like that. They deserve better.

Again. Rush is a phenomenal addition to the FC Franchise and I really hope that some of my suggestions can be added into FC 25. If not 25, then 26. Because to have a positive community, you need to provide the platform to do so.

    It really does depend on other people. I am not sure they can add a single player mode at least not yet with the perks. I wonder how populated the mode will be especially if people drop out because it’s toxic to play with other people. You have to try to keep online populated though so imagine rewards will increase to keep people playing. If the mode turns low pop you wouldn’t want people playing offline and nobody online. 

  • The kick feature is a case of survival imo. This game mode will not survive unless they implement a kick feature. 

    1 in 5 matches a player is standing still and then starts to play when you are 2-0 or 3-0 down. This is griefing in a competitive game mode. Sure, they may have some irl stuff going on but that’s not our problem. They should be playing single player if they cannot commit to an online game. My progression should not be hindered because somebody cannot physically play for the first 2 minutes or w/e of a match. Even 30 seconds is enough to concede multiple times. 

    Another is matchmaking imo. My club is grinding rush right now to then go play club games. Rush directly influences how good your player is and how easily you can potentially climb the clubs ladder while also progressing your club with rewards. A player in a high division of Rush should not be connecting with a 79 ovr division 5 player who hasn’t even played a game yet. That person needs to be playing with other division 5 players not me.

    The final thing that would fix rush would be xp and rating changes. A player who has turned the ball over 5+ times resulting in multiple goals conceded should never have a high rating because they cherry picked the entire match and scored 2 goals. A player with 2 assists 5 steals and 1 goal should have a much higher rating and xp reward than a person with only 2-3 goal contributions. Those players belong in division 5 playing against other div 5 players and should not be earning more xp or have a higher rating than the people who were defending and passing to make a W possible. Also the pass before an assist needs a massive XP boost. The pass before an assist is often THE key pass in this sport with the assist pass being nothing more than trivial. 

    if these changes are not made rush will completely die in clubs even faster than VOLTA did. It’s not a pleasant experience currently. UT is different and I am not speaking about that.
