EA FC 25 extreme lag

Im getting these insane lag spikes constantly throughout every match I play, the game freezes for a couple of seconds and then it speeds up to catch up to the gameplay for a few seconds. My first guess was this was hardware related but this doesnt happen in any other gamemode but ultimate team, and other games are playing fine.

Well anyways would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this, I honestly have never played a game with more problems then this game.

    absolutely horrid gameplay. My players are moving like submarines freezing on every attack and the ball bounces and rolls on super slow motion. My opponent on the other hand, is reacting to anything and everything i do. I have 1gb/s internet. I have never had issues in any other game than this one. This is just outrageous and infuriating.
