EA SPORTS FC 25 not launching via Steam (no error, EA App reopens)
I'm experiencing a persistent issue trying to launch EA SPORTS FC 25 on PC via Steam. Every time I try to launch the game (either from Steam or the EA App), the splash screen appears, a game window opens for a few seconds, then closes abruptly. After that, the EA App reopens with a message saying:
"Some features have been disabled because the EA app was launched from another application."
The game does not launch, and there is no error message or crash report.
What I’ve already tried:
- Verified game files via Steam
2. Repaired and reinstalled EA AntiCheat using EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
3. Deleted the FC25 folder in Documents
4. Cleared EA App cache and removed related folders in AppData and ProgramData
5. Ran EA App, Steam, and FC25 as Administrator
6. Enabled and manually started EABackgroundService.exe as Administrator
7. Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App (deep clean)
8. Reinstalled EA AntiCheat from scratch
9. Tried launching from a new Windows user account
10. Checked Windows Event Viewer – no crash logs or errors from FC25 or EA AntiCheat
11. Updated all drivers, DirectX, and Visual C++ Redistributables
Despite all of this, the game still doesn’t launch. No error appears, and the EA App just reopens silently. It seems like EA AntiCheat might be silently blocking the launch, but nothing is logged anywhere.
