I have some problem , I'm facing a very frustrating issue with EA Sports FC 25 on my laptop and I’ve tried almost everything to fix it, but nothing worked so far.
My Specs:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 (Laptop)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB SSD (No HDD)
OS: Windows 11
The Problem:
When playing FC25, the game runs fine for a few seconds, then suddenly GPU usage drops to 0%, and the FPS drops massively, causing heavy stuttering and unplayable lag. After a few seconds, GPU usage goes back to 40–50%, and the game runs fine again — then the cycle repeats. This ONLY happens in FC25. Other games like GTA RP run perfectly smooth.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far (none of which worked):
Reinstalled the game (fully deleted and redownloaded)
Clean install of GPU drivers using DDU
Forced the game to use High-Performance NVIDIA Processor
Disabled iGPU from Device Manager
Changed power plan to Best Performance
Disabled overlays (Discord, EA App, NVIDIA)
Edited FCSETTINGS.ini to force DirectX 12
Lowered all in-game graphics settings
Disabled V-Sync, enabled DLSS (Balanced/Performance)
Tested temperatures — no thermal throttling
Game is running from SSD, not HDD
Despite all these steps, the GPU still keeps dropping to 0% randomly during matches, causing constant FPS drops and stutters.
I’ve read that others are having the same issue with RTX laptops, especially with FC25, and that EA might be working on a patch — but nothing official has fixed it yet.
If anyone has found a solution, or if EA Devs are seeing this, please look into this hybrid GPU bug or rendering issue. The game is unplayable in its current state.
