Gamepad connection issues

I'm having trouble connecting the gamepad. The gamepad works perfectly in career mode within admin mode, but it's not recognized in academy youth tournaments even though it's connected properly. The game is having trouble developing youth players on the team by only allowing keyboard and mouse inputs. This situation makes it very frustrating and distracting. Any help from anyone familiar with this would be greatly appreciated! I'm Korean and have used a translator.
