Internet error FC 25

I've just bought FC 25 yesterday off of steam and downloaded everything necessary, but when I tried to open it, it loads for a few seconds and presents me with an error window telling me that my computer needs to be connected to the internet. However, my computer uses ethernet and there is not a problem with the speeds of the network.

• Here are some things I tried:
• Uninstalling and reinstalling FC 25
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Steam
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app
• Restarting my computer
• Unplugging ethernet cable and plugging it back in
• Trying to use Wi-fi instead of ethernet
• Launching FC 25 from files instead of the game launchers
