Solved

key problems

There’s no problem when I enter the game. In Ultimate Team, I play using only the keyboard. How ever, the custom key bindings I set up never seem to activate properly.

For example:

The A key is for a long pass / shoot during a match

D İs for a shoot / pass during a match

S is for a short pass / long pass during a match

W is for a long pass / short pass during a match

But even when I change these settings and save them under a custom configuration like A/B/C, and even though the correct setup appears to be selected, I’m still forced to play with different keys during the match.

Steps I’ve already taken on my PC:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard driver

Removed any connected game controller drivers

Tried creating a new custom config (e.g., Custom B while Custom A is active) – this works for one match, but not in the next

Thanks in advance!

  • First, we enter %appdata% and go to:
    C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 25\settings

We delete the file and restart the computer. Then, we launch the game through the EA App.

We create a new controller settings file.

First, we assign the desired button mappings while "Classic" is selected, and save it to the top slot as "Custom A".

When we see "undefined" again, we select the "Classic" setting and reassign the necessary button mappings.

We save it to the bottom slot, which is "Custom D".

Exit the settings and return to the main menu, then go back into the controller settings.

When we see "Undefined" again, we select "Custom A".

Exit the settings and return to the main menu, then enter the controller settings one more time.

This time, "Custom D" should now be selected automatically.

  • I’ve tried everything, but whenever I save the “Custom A” setting (this applies to spots 2 and 3), my settings change to “undefined.” I’m going to try removing it manually as well. After using the %appdata% command, I’ll completely delete everything inside the AppData/Local/EA Sports FC 25/settings folder (or move it to another folder on the desktop), then launch the game and try again.

  • Removing the settings manually was also attempted, but the result did not change. As clearly seen in the attached image, when switching from the "Classic" setting to "Custom A," it shows "undefined" within 1–2 seconds, indicating a clear conflict with the "Custom A" setting.
