PS5: Crashes in FUT Rivals (Error CE-108255-1)

I have a PS5 Slim Digital Edition. For the past few weeks, I’ve been experiencing an issue where the game regularly crashes during Division Rivals, mostly right after a goal is scored (regardless of whether it’s me or my opponent). I get kicked out completely, and the error code CE-108255-1 is displayed. It doesn’t happen every time, but I’d estimate it occurs in every 5th match.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times (including deleting all data from the PS Cloud)
- Rebuilt the PS5 database and cleared the cache several times in Safe Mode
- Factory reset the PlayStation and restored from a backup
- Reset the PlayStation and set it up as a completely new device
- Reinstalled the PlayStation system software from a USB stick
- Deleted and recreated my squad using the iOS app
Unfortunately, none of these steps have solved the problem—the issue keeps occurring. To make matters worse, the matches are counted as losses, even if I was winning at the time.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, have you found a way to fix it?
P.S.: My PS5 is connected directly to the router via LAN cable. I have a 1 Gbit connection with a ping usually between 15–25 ms, so I don’t think it’s an internet issue. I only bought the PS5 in November 2024, so it’s practically brand new.
