I've managed to improve my games performance to slightly but not fully remove the freezes/stutters (so still can't compete online) by making sure that the anticheat, ea app and game are all being run from the same SSD drive. Might help SOME people with better PCs than mine.
If you don't understand what I'm saying in this spoiler then don't do it as you might harm your PC and it also might not even do anything for you.

Open task manager and add the "image path name" column to check if all of the ea processes are running off the same drive. If they are then don't bother with this.
Uninstall EA App.
Change ProgramFilesDir in regedit to same drive as your EA games (so anticheat installs to that drive)
Use powershell to force EAappInstaller to install to same drive as your EA games.
Repair/install your anticheat from the FC25 folder and it should register FC25 now as they're both on same drive.
May have to reinstall graphics driver due to changes you've made.
Next time you launch game use task manager to makes sure that all of the EA processes are running off same drive.

I tested it but since it's not a complete fix for me I'm going to revert to how it was previously to avoid the fuss and just hope EA sort it out.
Just as a side note, I hate developers who use the default directory for anything instead of the install location you set, just leads to files being all over the place.
