Stuttering on PC after the Update?

Shame!

On pc it was well until 5.00 pm, after the new patch it all became *!

Jumps in the gameplay, huge delay, totally slow passes, slow, heavy woody gameplay!

You can't even fix the pause scenes! My camera men have been touching their * for months! The scenes are also bugs, do you realize?

Preview opposing lineup bugged 1 out of 2 times, team names/scoring bugged 1/2.

Every few minutes i hear the sound of the selection menu in my headphones while i'm playing the game!!!!!!!

In the first 2/3 minutes at the start of each half the game is smooth and works well, after 2 minutes the problems are back!

I have a * pc that run cyberpunk at 4k 80 fps and this * game doesn't work! You suck!

This patch is insane, i finally had fun playing this game probably since months ago. Not only i can actually play without issues, on a 8 year old system, 1070gtx and i5 7600k but the patch made the game so fast again. Everything is so fast again, no more players stuck in the sand or mud. 

This is finally something positive after so much pain and suffering.

This is what my game looks like after the update, nothing has changed. It's true that the video doesn't show how badly the game works because the tearing is much more noticeable in real life, but you can see it in the video.

After waiting 4 month without hope.....

finally they fix this stupid stuttering.

now gampeplay back to old FIFA 15 smooth like wind.

dont forget to set windows power plan to high performance.

i dont know what methode fix this sttutering, windows perfomance or EA last update.

but when i change two of them, my gampe play no more lag and stuttering.

Whats ur nvidia/ in Game settings?

@tvm33k i have same issue. My game is tearing all the time on rivals etc. Tried every method wth v sync, fps lock etc.

I have a 5600 without X, 32GB RAM, an M.2 SSD, 4060Ti 8GB.

Yesterday I installed the game again, did such settings:

vsync off

120Hz (I have 144Hz in Windows)

60FPS locked

and everything seems good. I tried different options but this one is nearly very good, little bit of stutter sometimes, really rarely.

Try with your settings.

Those m)#%)*!@$s at EA will not do anything about it...

How can some games be perfectly smooth with 0 stutter and then the next game is unplayable? Makes no sense. It has nothing to do with my settings. No one here to explain what the issue could be.

besides the lag and stuttering i can't control game when the ping spikes up once it get higher i can't control any * no switching or any order the player i have marked just keep running 

I tried the game, i'm not fully satisfied. I can't play the game on 4k with 120 fps or unlimited fps anymore, it stutters like crazy even though the fps is stable, that's unbelievable.

So when i lock the fps on 90, the game is fluid. At least i can play, but i loose some fluidity (90 vs 120 fps). Besides that all settings are maxed out and it's fine.

Hope they continue tweaking the optimization.

does anyone have a fix for screen tearing?

I think it's important to lock FPS at at least 60 and then - hopefully you have such a monitor - set Hz at double of it.

So for me it's ideal at 60/120...

It was bad at 30FPS, and also 120FPS

and e.g. 60FPS at 60Hz still not great.

60 / 120 - I would say really good, makes me want to play the game ; )

of course, there are other problems with the tactics etc. but well...

Guys they fixed it, if you are still having issues that is a problem with your graphics settings... 

@Sponsi_PL you lock fps on nvidia or by game? I have 180Hz monitor and tried every Hz option in settings and tearing still exists.

In the game options.

 I made sure my monitor display settings and in game fps were synced, I don't know if that made a difference but that in addition to the recent updates has totally fixed the issue for me. Before the update nothing worked with changing monitor / graphics settings so EA definitely fixed something. But I also think it's important to have synced fps. I have graphics on ultra, that doesn't seem to make a difference, just the refresh rate. 

@Dinner3162 the problem is, and I'm guessing it's fixed for you as you have a higher end pc, is that it's lower end pcs that are suffering, everyone who is saying it's fixed has a good pc, where as anyone who doesn't have a good pc is struggling to play, I've lost countless games all because they can't fix a game, missed out on so many rewards, I'm glad it's fixed for you, but just because it's fixed for you doesn't mean it's fixed for everyone.

True, tried to play 120hz 60fps, 60fps 60hz and game still feels choppy. I feel like i am playing on 30 fps while i have 60 fps locked. Rushes are smooth for me

@Nalchic the fact that the problem became prominent for the majority in December, shows there's clearly something that has happened in that time frame, I had no issues up until then. And there wasn't a 400+ long thread on the forums about it before then either. So no there may not be a 'universal fix' but clearly there is a fix. I bought the game, I've spent money on the game, i want to be able to play the game. It's disgusting the fact that it's been unplayable for over a month, especially from a multi billion dollar company.

@CHRISTIANFUCHSEA I won't be buying next year, it's toty, one of the biggest promos of the year, and it's unplayable, no word of compensation for all the rewards that have been missed, not that it'll be worth anything after toty. I'll make another complaint to support and see what they say at some point but I doubt it'll be anything worth posting here. Supposed to be a priority but it's been too long to even consider wanting to play as much as I used to 

So it seems that with EA Anticheat from 10.01.2025 game runs smoothly again without few second stutters.

Checked on my i5-7500 and RTX 4060.

Same on i7-14700 and RTX 4060.

On Monday will check also on i5-4570s and GTX 1060.

Still no word about a compensation for 2 month non working game which we've paid for? 🙂
