I made sure my monitor display settings and in game fps were synced, I don't know if that made a difference but that in addition to the recent updates has totally fixed the issue for me. Before the update nothing worked with changing monitor / graphics settings so EA definitely fixed something. But I also think it's important to have synced fps. I have graphics on ultra, that doesn't seem to make a difference, just the refresh rate.
@Dinner3162 the problem is, and I'm guessing it's fixed for you as you have a higher end pc, is that it's lower end pcs that are suffering, everyone who is saying it's fixed has a good pc, where as anyone who doesn't have a good pc is struggling to play, I've lost countless games all because they can't fix a game, missed out on so many rewards, I'm glad it's fixed for you, but just because it's fixed for you doesn't mean it's fixed for everyone.
True, tried to play 120hz 60fps, 60fps 60hz and game still feels choppy. I feel like i am playing on 30 fps while i have 60 fps locked. Rushes are smooth for me
@Nalchic the fact that the problem became prominent for the majority in December, shows there's clearly something that has happened in that time frame, I had no issues up until then. And there wasn't a 400+ long thread on the forums about it before then either. So no there may not be a 'universal fix' but clearly there is a fix. I bought the game, I've spent money on the game, i want to be able to play the game. It's disgusting the fact that it's been unplayable for over a month, especially from a multi billion dollar company.
- @OwenB763 we don't have to worry anymore, they are a total disgrace, they do nothing for us in the community, I know people employed here who have nothing to do with the game and are just working to earn a ton of money for nothing...
@CHRISTIANFUCHSEA I won't be buying next year, it's toty, one of the biggest promos of the year, and it's unplayable, no word of compensation for all the rewards that have been missed, not that it'll be worth anything after toty. I'll make another complaint to support and see what they say at some point but I doubt it'll be anything worth posting here. Supposed to be a priority but it's been too long to even consider wanting to play as much as I used to
- I have 7800x3d and 4080 super for me the game after that elusive update is unplayable it really stutters every 2 seconds.. so I don't think it's solved for high-end PCs 😂
So it seems that with EA Anticheat from 10.01.2025 game runs smoothly again without few second stutters.
Checked on my i5-7500 and RTX 4060.
Same on i7-14700 and RTX 4060.
On Monday will check also on i5-4570s and GTX 1060.
Still no word about a compensation for 2 month non working game which we've paid for? 🙂

Those are the latest that are being installed automatically upon the game start.
I think i have different one after the friday update
- @OwenB763 no it's fixed for me because I have the updated version of the game and I synced my monitor refresh rate to my graphics settings in game / nvidia. it is quite literally fixed, if you have a tinpot PC, bad internet or the wrong settings that's not EA's fault
Solved. 4k ultra at 120 fps granite Zero stutter and zero lag. It's not lanticheat and it's not the settings the cache eccho just brought the game back to title update 1
@Dinner3162 I have decent Internet, a lower end pc, stating the obvious with matching all the nvidia/moniter/in game settings doesn't help, some games it's fine, others it's horrendous. Like I said, glad it's fixed for you. But just because you're not experiencing issues doesn't mean no one is. And 'it's not EAs fault' yes, it is, the issue should have been fixed within a week, but it wasn't, it's not anyone here's fault they can't optimise a game properly.
I must admit that the latest update has fixed the stuttering for me. Im no longer running the 07.11 AC files on read only.
For me, stuttering has improved by 90%, now I can play games and win without getting angry because of the stuttering, but sometimes I get a bit choked, but it's nothing that gets in my way.
i dont have stutters too. Now game feel like 30fps. Very choppy and stuff but no more stutters for 3 sec straight. Hope they fix it soon

Major improvement on i5-4570s and GTX 1060, however since it is low end build, it still not so good as at better builds, but it is for sure not game related, so I can say they fixed stutters and speedlag.

Do game repair, then launch as usual. You should have AC files from January 10.

LOL at least i'm not alone with the framerate issues. I have a 75hz screen. It used to be that the only way I could run both this game and older fifas was to go into the fcsetup and manually set refresh rate and max frame rate to 75, with vsync switched off. Otherwise the games would lag and crash. Now, all of a sudden, that results in awful screen tearing and strange lag. After some experientation, the new settings which are the ONLY ones to work is to lower my screen to 60hz, and then set the game settings to 60 refresh rate and max fps. Vsync HAS to be turned on in game, or the tearing becomes a massive issue. What in the god damn *? This game was built in a potato harvester, not frostbite engine.
Anyways, they actually did fix the AC problem. I didn't think they would, honestly.
Well, some good feedback, I'll probably reinstall it to give it a try... If it's not better I will try a method that allows to rollback to any update since 1 (where you could even score headers from crosses)... Let's see, after I try I'll give some feedback here.
