Stuttering on PC after the Update?

As many have reported here, I’m also experiencing stuttering and lagging issues on PC with a GTX 2070 and i5-9600K.

Before Patch 5, the game was at least playable, but now it’s become significantly worse.

Like many others in this thread, I initially assumed the issue was on my end and spent considerable time troubleshooting: tweaking game settings, adjusting GPU configurations, reinstalling the game, and updating drivers. Unfortunately, I regret all that effort after realizing that thousands of players are affected—not just in this game but across other EA titles. It seems the root cause might be EA’s anti-cheat software, which places a heavy load on the CPU, pushing it to 100% usage in System thread every few minutes.

What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of acknowledgment from EA. To my knowledge (and I apologize if I missed anything), there’s been no communication from @EASPORTSFC or @EAHelp. It’s been nearly a week since the last update, and players are left in the dark.

Issues like these can happen in game development, and many of us understand that. We purchased this game at full price because we enjoy it and want to support its development, even if it comes with some launch issues. However, when a problem this severe affects thousands of players for nearly a week and there’s no informative message or reassurance that a fix is in progress, it begs the question: why did we even buy the game on release day? We could have waited until now and benefited from discounts while avoiding these problems.

At this point, I feel like I paid more to play earlier but have ended up waiting instead—all because EA pushed a faulty patch. And when people seek help, the response we get is to delete the game’s documents folder. This is not a user-end issue, it’s result of a patch that should never have been approved. It’s a failure of EA’s testing process, and I’m concerned that, with this level of quality control, similar issues will continue to happen.

Please take note of what’s happening today and remember this on TOTY day as well!

1. Still no fix to this I see, and I see EA still blaming other people for it. Standard. 

With all the issues i'd have thought they'd extend WL - nope, nothing. Same old same old

Man its EA they may care about steamers that support them despite all the probs but for the rest of the community NOO they care about taking our money and we take the blame too because we still buying this game every year

Has anyone found a fix or an update from EA that will they fix this stuttering issue which has been occuring since the last patch was rolled out. The game is literally unplayable. I bought the game when it went on sale it worked so smooth and they just HAD to ruin it after this patch.

hello i cant play game 5 days now i connect and i dont have access in game
i am inside game i see only green screen and menu withgout letters and i cant move in game
waht happened why i cant play the game so many days and i cant buy a new one
i pay 100 euros and so many for packages

i have play 170 hours in game \

how can i fix it ??
dont fix problem i have download and unistall 3 times the problem its a same what happened??
all the other games in my pc its ok fc dont workingh

i connect and i dont see the menu nothing only green screen and some animations

The game is unplayable, I've tried all of the solutions but nothing worked. It kept on freezing everytime I get the ball, before the update my game runs smoothly.
