How the hell do you switch your counter-attack player for defended corners?

Whenever I have to defend a corner against me and my team manages to clear the ball away, the ball gets to my 1 player who is waiting up in the field to go on a counter attack. This sounds ideal, but the only problem is that the player who waits to go on counter attack, IS MY SLOW CDM.

Why the hell is this happening, and how do I change this? I couldn't find an option for it anywhere. My Guerreiro shouldn't be going on counter attacks, I have 96 pace forwards for that...

I literally never scored a counter attack from a corner because of this.

Any help?

Thanks

  • I'd also like to know how to change the near-post player when defending a corner - it's always the smallest player in my team and often they are the player who should be nearer the halfway line for the counter-attack.

This is pure retardity in action. For me its always my LB for some reason, even if I change the formation. I have players with 99 pace and good shooting but apparently EA doesnt want to allow counter-attacks after corners. Always need to just pass the ball to that guy and try to keep possession until someone who you really want to attack has time to start running.
