Is this game broken, or am I missing something

I’m trying to play the game against real players, I hate doing because of the cheating that goes on, but again I’m at a lost end with I don’t understand 

I have a 97 speed which is 98 acceleration and 96 speed explosive player. I go up against a defender that has 86 acceleration and 90 speed lengthy player

i understand that over a long distance that player can catch me. But they are keeping up on the burst.

but when the roles are reversed and my same defender can’t keep up with a slower player both on the burst or over long distance, but the other player has a very similar stated player

im running a lan cable on 8 ping. 

also my team can’t pass 6 yards uncontested to the player, but every game the player on the opposite team can ping 5-30yard passes perfectly even contested. And don’t get me started on the tackling. Runs through the back of me and gets the ball everytime. I have to make 4-5 tackles to get it. 
is all of this because my internet connection is to good for the servers. 

or is the game just broken
