Yeah I reported this bug a few weeks back, as in rivals and friendlys and even champs I have often faced 2 opponents, even though like yourself I have it set to "solo" match making, I dont think EA have even aknoweldged the bug let alone fix it.
I would say based on the ETA the other bugs seem to be fixed that dont cost them any money (IE pack related) , it wont be fixed for quite some time
