Sluggish gameplay switch midgame?!?!?!?!?

I was in the middle of a Champions Finals match, winning 2-1, when the gameplay suddenly got woefully sluggish for no reason at all? It also only seemed to affect my players who, for some reason, forgot how to run, turn and pass, all while my opposition could do so without issue, resulting in my losing the game.

The clear and obvious scripting is utterly embarrassing and shameful. I'd hoped that, after an almost 5-year hiatus from the game, these issues would've been resolved, but evidently not. Time for another indefinite hiatus again after this edition reaches the end of life.
