I am winning 8-0 even on Ultimate Difficulty in Career Mode. Putting in no effort because it’s all so easy. Seems like the difficulty doesn’t actually change from semi pro upwards. I am playing as Chelsea which have a decidedly average team, but it’s no challenge at all.
It's extremely frustrating. Like c'mon EA pay some attention to career mode.

AI is horrible this year, they keep running the ball out play or dribbling back towards their own goal. How does the AI get worse??
Since the beta people have been complaining about this and EA have completely ignored us, what a joke.
This is the worst Career Mode of all time, seriously fix the difficulty it's way too easy, I've just played Man City in a CL final on Ultimate Difficulty and they had ZERO SHOTS against me, 70% of the time they were passing the ball in their own penalty box, not to mention I've got all the sliders ramped up to 99 in favour of the CPU and they still don't attack, foul, tackle, intercept, mark, cross, dribble etc
It's honestly so boring, it's gamebreaking and it's unplayable.

Career Mode on Legendary or Ultimate difficulty is just too easy. The AI feels completely harmless when attacking — even after making big mistakes, it rarely punishes you. I’ve tried tweaking the sliders, but nothing seems to fix it. Meanwhile, in Ultimate Team’s Squad Battles, the CPU on Ultimate difficulty plays with incredible intensity — something completely missing in Career Mode. I mainly play Career Mode, but this year there’s no real challenge. The fix seems obvious, and it needs to happen ASAP!
same for me on legendary and ultimate. i have no motivation to continue it
career mode is broken and it's sad
Try adjusting the slides. This made the game a lot harder for me. The fact that the difficulties are not like before and this needs to be fixed. In general, whenever you adjust the slides well, the game changes. I play with Parma and so far the first season I finished in 6th position and the second I finished second. Now I play third, sometimes I have easy matches, sometimes difficult ones. The game does not respond adequately tactically when it starts to lose the match. This also needs to be fixed.
Ultimate dificulty is easy, the AI rarely attacks and passes ball the back with no intentions to attack. EA needs to fix this issue because the game is becoming dull and borring within less that one month from it's release. I also tried to tweak up the sliders and it made no difference on the attaking side of AI just pointless passing at the back. Last year ultimate dificulty was very tough and hard to play against on both sides of the ball thing that made carrer mode very intresing and FUN. You need to adress this matter as soon as possible.
Also in Carreer Mode are occuring the following issues:
-In the cutscenes, if the manager (user) wears a jacket/coat e.t.c glitches and shows the badge and the buttons on the back side instead of the front.
-When you move to another team and change football strategy it shows the strategy of you previous club.
-When women managers are hired to manage mens football team, the category gender does not change from M(male) to F(female).
-Almost the majority of the games have a default setting on beeing played with rain (happend last year too) and you have to manualy change it once in a while. I played 5 games in a row with random weather condition (default setting) and it was always raining.
-Almost every time when you buy players on transfer window one of them is homesick (unexpected events/ high).
