I am winning 8-0 even on Ultimate Difficulty in Career Mode. Putting in no effort because it’s all so easy. Seems like the difficulty doesn’t actually change from semi pro upwards. I am playing as Chelsea which have a decidedly average team, but it’s no challenge at all.
I have to agree with you. I tried to reduce the passing and shooting errors for the CPU, but the game is still too easy.

Same issue here mate unbearably easy on legend and ultimate to the point I won't be playing until it's fixed, the most important part of career is the CPU and realism. And with the difficulty as it is, it's unplayable.
This is to both of you. I initially had the same problem. Even on Ultimate (I only play manager career) it is way too easy to defend the CPU, and honestly, they weren’t even attacking my goal. EA patched this, somewhat, and I’ve certainly noticed an uptick in CPU attacking aggression. So, if you pick “Custom” gameplay type with Player Based Difficulty ON, Weather Effects/Wind ON, Authentic Whatever it is ON, and tweak the CPU sliders to your liking, you should be able to create a more competitive gameplay. I’m using Leeds, and won all my preseason matches by way too much. I started my PL season after the update and after tweaking settings. I’m 7-2-0. Sure, I have not lost a match, but for the first time in probably like 10-15 years, I drew a couple matches in my league. That never happens to me. I’m winning my matches by 1 or 2 goals, not 7. I barely, barely beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup with a last second winner. It was pretty cool! To be fair, it is far from perfect, but I have managed to create a more challenging game. Unfortunately, since there are literally ZERO fouls on either side, I’m still not getting the full experience. And the fouling cannot be adjusted. It’s simply gone. I hope this helps you guys!

In my case legendary and ultimate are too easy, so i beg EA to make it harder and more realistic, i concede 0 goals for 7 games, i win every match 5-0, 6-0 etc, Im just not enjoying in this. I want more realistic career mode.
On legendary difficulty, the opponent, in career mode, makes a maximum of 1-2 shots per match. The opponent spends a lot of time with the ball in their own half of the field. Long-range shots are ineffective. The goalkeeper almost always saves.
The computer is way too timid compared to previous games. they don't make an effort.
Thank you! This did help.. the only change I made is putting it on competitive as opposed to authentic- found the opposition a bit better on the attacking front. Has brought some sort of enjoyment back into the game for me!
It’s definitely an improvement versus the previous set up however still found myself more challenged in FC25..

Yeah it’s really disappointing.. if it’s any help the suggestion below does make things a bit more competitive. Early days though so will keep monitoring things
