Career mode idea

Why doesn’t EA make an option to want to be a substitute if you are already a starter, like for example if you want to have a super realistic career and your already top level and it’s like a cup match or you don’t feel like playing the entire game you can choose to be a substitute. Obviously you don’t have to be a sub but i think it should be an option.
