[Career Mode] Suggestions: Narrative, Online Play, Custom Name Commentary & More

Dear EA SPORTS FC Team,

First off, I want to say I really appreciate the direction you’ve taken with both Manager Career and Player Career in FC 26 — they each feel distinct and have great potential. I’d love to share some feedback and suggestions that could make them even more engaging for players like me and my friends:

1. Stronger narrative and story integration across both modesRight now, the modes are great for pure football action, but they lack deep, evolving storylines that make the characters and experiences feel more personal. If future titles could add more narrative-driven moments — like personal rivalries, media interactions, boardroom drama, or even unique story arcs tied to your created player or manager — it would make the journey feel more immersive and memorable. Even small, branching story choices could make each playthrough feel unique, similar to how sports RPGs add depth to their career modes.
2. More meaningful use of in-game money, especially with story tie-insWhile earning money is satisfying, the current ways to use it (like transfers or upgrades) don’t feel impactful enough. I’d love to see more substantial investment options that affect both your club’s long-term story and your player’s journey — like building facilities that unlock new storylines, investing in youth academies with narrative twists, or even personal brand deals that come with story consequences. Right now, money feels like a disconnected stat, and tying it to narrative choices would make every financial decision feel more important.
3. Co-op/online play for both Player Career and Manager CareerThis is something my friends and I have all wished for: being able to play Player Career with friends (like online pro clubs but with individual storylines) or even manage the same club together in Manager Career. Adding co-op or online shared saves would completely change the way we play these modes and make them much more replayable with a group.
4. Commentary support for custom player namesOne small but personal touch I’d love to see is the ability for the in-game commentary to say my custom player’s name. Hearing your own name called out during a match would make the experience feel so much more immersive and special.
5. Simplified skill moves for casual playersAs someone who struggles with complex controls, I find skill moves too difficult to pull off consistently. Adding an optional simplified skill move system — or even a “casual skill moves” toggle that makes basic tricks easier to execute — would help players like me enjoy more creative play without having to master complex inputs.

These changes would add so much replayability, immersion, and fun to the career modes, and I know I’m not alone in wanting them. Thank you for all the hard work you put into the series — I’m really excited to see where FC goes next!
