Cosmetic overiding Rarity chem boost

So I put the purple season excellence cosmetic from Season 1 onto the World tour Kobbie Mainoo card, which at the time had no nation chemistry boost. Now the world tour cards all give an extra nation dot but my Mainoo does not.

Is it not possible to put purely visual cosmetics on cards with extra chemistry without removing that boost? I get that I have ‘changed the card’s rarity’ but if I knew world tour cards would get this extra chemistry I wouldn’t have used it on Mainoo.

Is this something that can be changed so I get the chemistry boost and keep the card visual as it looks cool af.
